Abstract
This work is based on a thesis submitted to the Faculty of Purdue University, Indiana, for the Doctor of Phylosophy degree. The research was carried out under the direction of Professor John M. Hadley. A condensed version was read before the Venezuelan Association for the Advancement of Science on June 15, 1959.
