Abstract
New trends in educational administration indicates that the school principal is the leader in the school. Organizational leadership is one of the crucial dimensions in the accomplishment of their functions towards the mission and vision of the institution. The school principal, as the organizational leader must have the knowledge, skills and attributes to understand and improve the organization, implement operational plans, manage financial resources, and apply decentralized management processes and procedures. There are in charge of the operational phase of the schools with the purpose to obtain the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the institution. This article explains how the school principal must exercise this dimension of leadership for the success of the school as a learning community.
