Abstract
The four lectures referred to in this essay were given by Fred M. Hechinger, John I. Goodlad, Francis Keppel and Paul Woodring during the inauguration of the new College of Pedagogy building, Juan José Osuna, at the University of Puerto Rico, in 1961. They revolve around the topic: Education in nations in accelerated evalution.
