Abstract

This review examines the historical development of the journal Pedagogía on its 60th anniversary. We acknowledge the contribution of the College of Education, University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, to this publication, through its support and sponsorship of the journal as a record of the evolution of knowledge and the development of education in Puerto Rico. This article examines texts published since its first issue in January 1953 to the present. Through a content analysis, we establish trends, patterns and comparisons of the recurring themes. We also look at authors‘ collaboration, participation by gender, and English-language contributions. Editorial development is examined, particularly board composition, and volume designs and prints.
