Abstract

Leadership has been defined as a person‘s ability to influence the actions of others in order to achieve the goals the team has planned in mutual agreement in an organization. However, lack of leadership has been one of the many justifications for looking at problems that have been difficult to resolve. In recent decades, and more specifically since 1980, new perspectives have emerged in relation to this phenomenon. These movements become paradigms that lead to better quality education, because the teaching and learning offered, especially in higher education, helps to transform leadership in public and private institutions. Some researchers agree that ethnography methodology is adequate to explore the dynamics of leadership in the educational context because its design allows for an analysis over the totality in which the research object takes part.
