Abstract

While adolescent motherhood has been the subject of multiple research and programs designed to deal with the situation, it has not been the same with fatherhood in males of the same age. Factors associated with rearing styles, culture, and stereotypes contribute to a confusing construction of the event from the protagonists‘ perspective and inadequate responses from the helping professionals. This article reviews some of the available literature in order to discover similar findings and offer suggestions that might favor better answers and programs.
