Abstract
Free time education is a lifelong learning process. It is associated with adult education, continuing education, non-formal education, informal education and, to a lesser degree, formal education. As to the meaning of free time education, three interpretations can be distinguished: 1) appreciation of leisure, which is in danger of being dismissed by most people instead of being cherished as something very important in life; 2) preparation for leisure, which insists that aptitudes, skills, and knowledge be developed in order to use it properly as if it were something that is learned; 3)assumes a moralist position and holds that leisure is an opportunity that everyone has and should be used wisely for personal gain turning away from any suggestion of antisocial behavior.
