Abstract
The author organizes less controversial basic ideas about finality to present the best possible reasonable idea about the existence of finality in Reality. He establishes as a probable fact that a certain majority of scientists and a good proportion of philosophers are not in favor of grand perspectives about the finality of the Universe. He then tries to clarify concepts by presenting in an excursus one of the most developed presentations of this concept. He finally examines new ideas about the evolution of Reality and its levels and structure. He concludes the Reality is certainly finalistic without speculating about what particular kind of finality the Universe exhibits.
