Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the influence of human resources practices based on commitment, retention, and organizational performance. The design is quantitative, correlational, and cross-sectional. Descriptive and inferential analyses were performed using categorical regression. Nine human resources practices were considered, three categories on organizational performance, and one on employee retention. The results demonstrate that the human resource practices studied influence employee retention, job security, training and development, and job quality. This research strengthens the literature that establishes that human resource practices based on commitment are instrumental in retaining employees and promoting organizational performance.
