Abstract
In this article we reflect in relation to the importance of considering the masculine gender perspective in the development of the professionals that work with human conduct in the context of Penal Institutions. Special interest is given to the strong relationship between masculine gender and violence and its impact in the institution dynamics and the work of the Social Work in behalf of the rehabilitation and re insertion of the persons without liberty (prisoners). It also deals with the importance of the development of interdisciplinary work to intervene more effectively with this growing and complex social problem mostly associated to masculine gender. The article is supported by a wide analysis of bibliography related to this field of professional action.Downloads
