Abstract

This paper examines the application of Rogers' Diffusion of Innovations Theory (1962), which explores the acceptance of technology in relation to the social and psychological aspects of users. The objective of this study is to investigate the significance of the diffusion of innovation in comprehending how, why, and to what extent information professionals and library users are inclined to embrace and incorporate new learning technologies within information institutions. The analysis incorporates articles published in academic journals, book chapters, and conference papers that address technological innovation in libraries and the adoption of new technologies by their users.
