Abstract
In keeping within the theme of: Towards managing change in libraries: Collaborative partnerships between informational professionals, institutions, and associations, BMJ would like to present concrete examples of how, through strategic partnerships, publishers can help support a library’s mission and help deliver reports that deepen the impact and effectiveness of the library.
Now, more than ever, proving the effectiveness of our roles is essential to any business organization, and as access to scientific content expands exponentially and librarians continue to evolve and adapt to the new normal, time is extremely limited. Librarians may then face challenges in creating impact-related reports that demonstrate the key role they play to their research community at their institution.
Going beyond Counter 5 usage reports, we will demonstrate new ways to uncover end-user activities on digital platforms, help create detailed author analyses, and showcase key insights that help elevate the library’s (and librarian’s) essential role in the scientific research cycle and continue to serve the needs of their end-users.
