Abstract

Presentation given as part of the COVID 19 Solidarity Panel.

This research examined the concept of fair use as it related to academic libraries and the response of academic libraries to fair use during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, this paper critically examined the experience of the University of Guyana Library in relation to its fair use strategy and its response to the COVID 19 in the provision of information to users. The paper provides recommendations on the way forward for a fair use strategy for the University of Guyana in the context of the post pandemic information environment.
