Abstract

Technological transformations in the age of knowledge have prompted major changes especially in the area of libraries. These have had to evolve just like the professional who directs them. Both the school library and the information professional have to face new disciplines that allow them to be project managers from the research field and creators of knowledge. In the work at hand, a curricular unit is developed that is based on the following curricular approaches: focused on the apprentice, Barrera Neuroscience, & Donolo, Vygotsky's Cognitive Development Theories and the Reference Framework for Management Skills of Information in Higher Education. These approaches support the activity of educational integration between the school library and the classroom when developing tele-projects. Among the teaching strategies presented in the curricular unit are: Learning based on PBL Projects, Projects and Tele Projects and the BIG 6 model. This Curricular Unit proposes to be a curriculum integration guide that develops the information competencies of the Program School Library integrated to Spanish and English courses, intermediate level. In addition to presenting a pedagogical collaboration between sister classes in Latin America through the International Education and Resource Network (EARN), which also pursues the development of the sustainability objectives of the United Nations Organization (UN), through the virtual exchange.
