In the Search of the Ungraspable: The Poetry of Knowledge Written by Luis Gilberto Caraballo

Abstract

This essay focuses on the leitmotif of the voyage in the poetry of Venezuelan writer and painter, Luis Gilberto Caraballo. The voyage whether real or imaginary is related with the aspiration of Knowledge and the quest of the transcendental or ungraspable in his poetry. This theme is reinforced by various symbols such as the night, the train, the cyclist, the sea and these symbols will also be studied in these pages.
