<i>Zona de Carga y Descarga</i>: debate, ruptura y creación literaria

Abstract

The literary production that Zona Carga y Descarga collects of our writers and scholars, as well as the relevant input of many contributors from the academic, social, political and cultural inside and outside the island contributed to the growth of their receptors. The magazine also gathered texts of incipient writers then and that are today recognized figures of our Puerto Rican literature. Zona Carga y Descarga held as an avant-garde literary magazine whose contents included multiple literary genres and a mosaic of different positions that were given away in its texts, trials and analysis. It was a means to preserve and expand our Puerto Rican letters on the intellect and the spirit of the readers and scholars of Puerto Rico and abroad to raise awareness of our literature as the vehicle of expression and control, speaker of individual and collective consciousness.
