Abstract
This paper tries to study the issue of women as love object in the comedies of the Golden Age, focusing on Tirso de Molina's La celosa de sí misma. The author tries an analysis of characters to study how the image of the loved one is sometimes the result of a construction, and review both source text and literature on the subject in order to reflect about love as an invention.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
