Abstract

Jan Martínez, in his poetry anthology entitled El jardín, renews the consecrated metaphor of a gardener in terms of the ars poetica. Both gardens and poems are artcrafting, charged with conceits able to express human experiences more effectively than nature's spontaneity or common speech, either in philosophical or scientific ways.
