Resumen
En el 2020, Puerto Rico experimentó un fenómeno inusual, una diversidad de eventos sísmicos de manera consecutiva y de una magnitud considerable, los cuales tuvieron consecuencias significativas en el país. El presente estudio tuvo el objetivo de conocer la experiencia vivencial del terremoto desde el contexto de una relación diádica, e indagar cómo afrontaron este evento. Se realizó un estudio cualitativo desde el análisis fenomenológico interpretativo (Smith & Flowers, 2009). Se entrevistaron cuatro adultos, esto es dos parejas heterosexuales. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que emergieron cuatro temáticas: (1) experiencia vivencial, (2) efectos personales y en la cotidianidad, (3) relación de pareja y (4) estrategias de afrontamiento. El trabajo expone lo traumático de la experiencia vivida, el efecto que tuvo en su vida cotidiana y lo significativo que resultó experimentar este suceso con la pareja. Se proponen futuros estudios para poder brindarle continuidad a esta línea de investigación.
