Abstract
This article discusses current knowledge on being overweight and obesity. It presents counseling strategies to work with young adults and college students with weight problems. In addition, this article seeks to alert counseling professionals on the challenges of managing obesity and its impact on student health. Counseling strategies to promote prevention and self-care in the college student population are highlighted.References
