Abstract
This text refers to one of the most sublime objects of Reality, which is life, and life in its highest appearance, human life. The Human Being has a body and a soul, but we differ from Descartes in as much as we deny that the soul can be referred to as some "thing" of sorts, even in the highest possible meaning of this term.
