Abstract

This article presents a critical analysis of the world socioeconomic transformations, its incidence in the ways of production and life that are beyond the economy sphere and its impact in the government of our countries according with the current development. These transformations present the need to think again the common welfare, the social justice, the development, the family, the human being, the State, and public policies, in reference of what is the social matter and the implications to think the social matter as a natural place of social work intervention. It is understood that Social Work contributes to the creation of conditions for social justice when look for the needed actions to include all those population sectors that have not been favored by the system, creating opportunities based on economic, social and cultural rights. The article also discussed the main challenges Social Workers to regain and strengthen its expectations for a better world and to defeat the stereotypes and stigmas that place the profession as subsidiary to others. In addition, it is confirm the possibility of a new social intervention perspective directed toward the satisfaction of real needs.
