About Small National Systems: Preliminary Considerations

Abstract

The literature devoted to the study of small countries has grown substantially in recent years. Historians, economists, sociologists, internationalists, inspired by diverse premises, interests and methodologies, have been investigating both the internal aspects of their functioning and the relationships that they tend to establish and can establish in other systems of equal or greater magnitude.
