Abstract
Most of the literature found about child abuse and its effect on academic progress tend to indicate that the different types of maltreatment affect in a major or minor scale on the academic performance of those that have been the subject of one or many of its manifestation. This article analyses the negative influence of child abuse in the academic aspect of its subjects at the moment where abuse is happening as well as in a long term perspective.
