Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • All submissions must be written in English or Spanish and should represent the original work of the authors.

  • Contributions should be unpublished. Submission to the Journal‘s Editorial Board requires a commitment not to submit the article simultaneously to other publications.

  • The Editorial Board will not recommend an already published article unless there is evidence that it represents a new synthesis of the author‘s ideas.

  • The corresponding author must include a document with the title of the article and the name, affiliation, telephone number, institutional email address, and ORCID of every author. When the authors have more than one name and more than one surname, both their names and last names must be separated by a hyphen.

  • Submissions should be no longer than 20 pages, single spaced (8.5" x 11.5"), with one inch margins, including tables and references. The font should be Times New Roman size 12.

  • The article title must not exceed 15 words and must be submitted in both English and Spanish.

  • Articles must be preceded by an abstract drafted in both English and Spanish (125 words maximum each). The abstract should be followed by a maximum of five keywords in both languages.

  • Notes should be brief and be limited to marginal clarifications to the text; they should not be used to indicate bibliographical entries. Notes must be consecutively numbered in the text and should appear at the bottom of the page.

  • Submissions should be written consistently following the style and format of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.

  • All tables, figures, and graphs must include the source and must be sent in an editable format (not as an image). The publication of the tables, figures, and graphs sent by the authors are subject to being adjusted to the dimensions of the journal, without having to divide them over more than one page and without affecting their legibility. The editor may reduce, reformat, or eliminate those tables, figures, and graphs sent by the authors which cannot be adjusted to the dimensions of the journal.

  • Critical book reviews must include the following:

    • Type of book (i.e. textbook, manual, biography)

    • Title of book and number of pages

    • Last name, first name of the author

    • Translator's name (if any)

    • Publisher, city, and date of publication

    • ISBN

    • The review should be about 750-1000 words.

    • You should succinctly summarize the book, noting especially its main topics and theses. Analyze the book‘s strengths and weaknesses with examples of each. You may also evaluate the book, perhaps in comparison to other major works in the field. Finally, include a conclusion that brings together the main points of the review, but is more than a recapitulation of what has been said.

  • Research articles and book reviews must be submitted as a Microsoft Word Document to "Fórum."

  • Technical and professional articles must be submitted as a Microsoft Word Document to "Praxis."

  • The authors will receive a copy of their article as it will appear in the journal before being published; they will have a period of 24 hours to review it and inform the editor of any content or formatting error to be corrected. If the authors do not comply with the revision of their article and inform the editor of any errors within the given period, the authors will be responsible for any error that the published version may contain.

Author Guidelines

Fórum Empresarial is continuously accepting academic and practical submissions for future issues. Theoretical and empirical contributions—research papers, technical professional articles, and book reviews—will be considered, on the understanding that the work is original, has not been published previously in whole or in part, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

The time between receiving the article and the Editorial Board response is one to three months. The diligence of the reviewers in examining an article and sending comments is beyond our control. It is the journal's commitment to perform this procedure quickly and send the author the comments of the reviewers as soon as they are received.

The estimated time between the receipt of articles and publication is six months; however, this depends on the diligence of reviewers sending their comments and opinions, as well as that of authors to respond to and re-send their articles. The assessment and management of the articles will be conducted electronically.

Please refer to the "Submissions Preparation Checklist" of the journal. Strict compliance with this list may speed up the time between the reception and the consideration of articles because it will prevent them having to be returned to the authors for failing to comply with such requirements.
