Abstract
The concept of sensible idea was elaborated by Merleau-Ponty to explain the mutations that the relation among man and being underwent. This notion makes possible to think the meeting between the flesh of the body and the flesh of the world and to understand how essences cannot be separated from experience. The aim of the following article is to elucidate the notion of sensible idea proposed by the philosopher from his last writings and Proust´s novel, where Merleau-Ponty finds the ability to express these ideas. Sensible ideas will be understood as a level, as an invisible which inhabits the world, that holds it and makes it visible.Downloads
