Abstract
The following text is an expression of gratitude to the friendship and teachings of Manfred Kerkhoff. An essay in English is included with the dedicatory extended to the teachings of Eihei Dōgen (1200- 1253). Dōgen‘s opuscule Uji (Being-time) was of particular interest for Dr. Kerkhoff‘s kairosophique research on the experience of satori or the experience of awakening in the Zen tradition.Downloads
