Abstract
The following essay establishes comparative coordinates between two of the most important texts of the chilean poets Vicente Huidobro and Rodrigo Lira: Arte poética and Ars poétique, respectively. The world vision belonging to the époques in which these texts were produced and some of the instances corresponding to the authors poetry fundamental axis: the naming subject position inside his discourse, the criteria referring to creation and the problem of its autonomic or dependent value, the relationship between man and external reality, the rational element underneath the artifice of poetry and poetic language's own sense were taken into consideration. Also some brief notes on the structuration of each text and its implications in relation with rewriting, parody and carnavalization where included.
