Abstract
Labor mobility — the employee’s movement to other jobs through their career — is a little-studied issue in Puerto Rico’s public service. Little is known about the motivations that lead the employee to change workplaces or work units. This research sought to know the relationship between mobility and job satisfaction and the impact on salary. We also correlated mobility, years of experience and salary. A questionnaire was administered to a sample of 150 university employees. A significant relationship was found between mobility and salary.
