Abstract
This article shares reflections regarding the construction of a professional ethical political project that has started to develop within the Puerto Rico's Association of Social Workers. Contributions from key social work figures in Latin America, with a historic-critical perspective, proposing key elements in the development of a profes sional project are discussed. In particular, the relationship between the profession and social policy, in the context of the colonial-modern capitalist system and the neoliberal agenda, is discussed. Favoring a democratic, pluralist and revolutionary project, some preliminary reflections regarding the relation between theoretical-methodological, technical-operative and ethical political aspects are discussed.Downloads
