Quince años de investigaciones doctorales en trabajo social en Puerto Rico

Abstract

This paper presents a profile of the research carried out by students of the Doctoral Program in Social Work of the Beatriz Lassalle Graduate School of Social Work of the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. It includes the first fifteen years of dissertations of this study program (2007 to 2022). Because the area of ​​emphasis of this doctorate is the analysis and administration of social policies or programs, among the variables that are presented in this profile are; the social policies that have been worked on, the participating populations and the issues addressed. In addition, the recommendations of these investigations to different instances of the country are discussed, such as; government, academia, non-governmental organizations and the professional community. The intention of the work is to know part of the contribution that social work is making to the social policy of Puerto Rico, through research.
