Abstract

Sylvia Blanco is one of the essential names of contemporary Puerto Rican ceramics. Her production includes a set of numerous forms and techniques that made her earn a remarkable recognition in a national and international scale, receiving prestigious awards granted in Faenza and Zagreb, as well as in the Art Contest of the Ateneo Puertorriqueño. In this interview, taken place in 2013 and published as a tribute after the loss of the artist in 2017, Blanco revealed some of the highlights of her long career.
