Alison Daubercies: The Nature of the Sense

Abstract

The figure of Alison Daubercies has been kept out of the historiography of contemporary Puerto Rican art. Born in London, she lived for several decades in Puerto Rico, where she developed a very personal pictorial corpus, influenced by abstraction, simultaneously with other prominent artists of her generation. The landscape of the island would be one of the principal topics of her artwork.
