Abstract
Lilliana Ramos Collado reviews the Western tradition of the monument as a complex and pertinent social object, in the context of the new Monument to the Victims of Orlando. This has been built by the Municipality of San Juan, and inaugurated on June 26th, 2016, at the Tercer Milenio Park, as part of the annual celebration of the LGBT Community Pride Parade.
