Abstract
Ya se acabó [It‘s Already Over] is the title of the recent solo exhibition by the Puerto Rican artist and educator José Luis Vargas. The staging of an intensely conflictive and psychological world, represented in seven large-format paintings, refers to a formalism moving towards a rebellious aesthetic, in order to reveal images that are both cynical and painful.
