The Visions of Gustave Doré

Abstract

Three large canvases, two prints and an illustrated Bible make up the exhibition Fervor y fantasía: la Pasión según Gustave Doré [Fervor and Fantasy: Passion According to Gustave Doré], a French artist, printer, and key figure in 19th century illustration. The exhibition, showing artworks from the Museo de Arte de Ponce collection, is set in an atmosphere inspired by the dark and gothic aesthetics used by the artist.
