Abstract
This article explores the lyrical voice‘s political agenda in order to reconstruct and lead the Dominican Republic into a glorious destiny through modernism and positivism. The lyrical voice adopts an authority status in order to examine the Dominican Republic‘s history since the colonial period to the 19th century. From this privileged vantage point, this authority voice creates a paradigm for the new nation to overcome the chaotic political past and emerge as a new Caribbean and American role model. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
