Abstract
Migration and its emotional impact is a complex issue that demands special attention. Mental health problems can be exacerbated in rural populations involved in the process of migration in areas like the State of Tlaxcala and the Municipality of Hueyotlipan. In the last decade, these communities have documented some of the psychological and social challenges facing families (men, women and children) who suffer a loss, a feeling and abandoment, and depression as a result of migration. Children soci Children and adolescents suffering recognized academic problems related to migration. The scarcity of specialized mental healt services in rural areas is itself a problem, as is the tendency for people to seek professional help only when physical symptoms become manifest. Emotional symptoms tend to be ignored, especially when experiencedby women since they are considered "normal" for them even as they become chronic and disabling.Downloads
