Abstract
This research, from a qualitative exercise and a social anthropological perspective, exposes how, in the context of their daily lives, 15 young women from Colima, Mexico, construct their identity from assuming the status of head of household. The paper is organized in four sections. The first realizes the importance of work and exposes the theoretical and conceptual elements underpinning the study. The second presents the methodological strategy used to collect the empirical evidence. The third explains how, in the context of their daily lives, 15 young women construct their identity after assuming the status of head of household.
