Abstract
A baked-clay stamping artifact ('pintadera‘), presumably of prehistoric Taíno origin, is interpreted as a mnemonic calendar of solar ephemerides in the latitudinal zone along lat. 18oN which runs through Puerto Rico, Hispaniola and Jamaica. Obtained from the Dominican trade in artefacts from plundered burial sites, its archaeogical context is unknown.Downloads
