Abstract

Violence as an eminently modern concept, the relationship between violence and the political and the transformations between violence and representations of violence are discussed in the context of a world characterized by an intensified communication. The relationship between the media system and the legal system in its handling of the relationship between law and violence and its implications for the singular lives of people are studied as part of an ongoing research project.
