Abstract
With the objective of analyzing the patterns of scientific production within environmental studies during the last 50 years, bibliometric techniques were used, for a descriptive analysis and some scientometric strategies to identify some trends in research on environment-behavior. The sample consisted of 1733 scientific articles obtained from the Journal of Environment & Behavior. The period analyzed was from 1969 to 2019. Among the variables examined, the 9 descriptors selected for their relationship with the promotion of health and well-being in the population studied stand out in the first place. Subsequently, the most prolific researchers who published considering the selected descriptors were identified. It concludes with a reflection based on the evidence collected on the scope and limitations that to date presents scientific productivity within the environmental area.
