Abstract

Schizotetranychus oryzae development on rice plants was studied. Sixteen days were required to complete development from egg to adult The sex ratio was three females for each male. The mean number of eggs per female was 18.6 and 14.1 from Bluebonnet 50 and Cica 8, respectively. The mite can duplicate its total density every eight days.
