Abstract
This work is a compilation of articles that report acarina (Acari) from Puerto Rico as well as new records of species collected. The new records were mounted on slides and preserved in alcohol. A total of 405 species of mites and ticks were reported from Puerto Rico. These are distributed in two superorders, four orders and two suborders with 104 families and 227 genera. Twenty-seven species are recorded for the first time from Puerto Rico. Additional host records had been annotated for other species. The bibliography includes papers in which species are described or recorded. The corresponding hosts are reported for each species and included in the indexes.Downloads
