Abstract

This paper explores the so-called miesian "universal space" from a cinematic point of view. The aim of this approach is to amend the usually biased and authoritative explanations one can find in architectural texts and histories, which tend to be too theoretical and far away from the everyday way in which people experience this kind of spaces, so central in modern orthodoxy.
