Abstract
Even though it is not known by many, Puerto Rican philosophy has a long history that goes back to Scholasticism in colonial times and extends to our own late modern period. This essay proposes an outline of the different stages of philosophy in Puerto Rico and offers brief summaries of some of its most representative figures. It also examines particular expressions of existential Vitalism, epistemology, and philosophy of education among other areas of philosophical and humanistic knowledge in general.Downloads
