Abstract

In this writing I focus on the 20th century writer, Virginia Woolf, and her essay “A Room of One's Own” in which she discusses and explores the reasons why women are a minority in the category of writers. My approach is to point out the frustration she expresses and how, even with the passage of time, circumstances have not changed as much as would be expected after 95 years. The gender perspective and the feeling of rage with which it expresses the inequality of treatment and conditions, is one of the biggest points to keep in mind while reading. It is my goal that at the end of reading you meditate and reflect on the participation of women in society.
