WILLIAM C. TAYLOR, received his B.A. degree at the University of Montevallo and his Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin. As translator of eighteenth-century Texas government documents he produced forty volumes of Bexar Archives Translation (Austin: University of Texas Archives,1971- 77), co-authored Bexar Archives Translator‘s Manual(Austin: University of Texas Archives,1977) and wrote other manuals in connection with Bexar Archives project. Professor Taylor‘s other works include "A transformational-Grammar Approach to Spanish-to-English Translation" (dissertation, University of Texas in Austin, 1976) and "Some Problems in Representing Names in Translation""= in Cuadernos de la Facultad de Humanidades, Número 6, 1980.
