Resumen
Este artículo pretende actualizar algunos conocimientos sobre el sobrepeso y la obesidad. Presenta algunas estrategias de consejería para la intervención con jóvenes y adultos universitarios que padecen esta condición. En el mismo se alerta a los profesionales de la consejería sobre los retos que presenta esta problemática y su impacto en la salud integral del estudiante. Se destacan algunas estrategias en la intervención de consejería que promueven la prevención, el autocuidado en la población estudiantil.Citas
